History of the Plastic Classic RegattaIn 2005, Port Royal Yacht Club was honored to be invited by the Bay View Boat Club of San Francisco to host the first annual Southern California Plastic Classic Regatta. Sponsored by the Bay View Boat Club and run in the SF South Bay between Pier 54 and Alameda, the Plastic Classic has a history of slightly zany behavior, maybe that's why they thought that PRYC would fit right in! Read more about the original Plastic Classic Regatta. Vessels for the Plastic Classic Regatta must be designed in 1982 or before and constructed of "plastic" (fiberglass).
